Mr. Elliott Winston Robinson is a Nashville-based actor, singer, voiceover artist, and aspiring audiobook narrator who absolutely loves to tell stories. His favorite dramatic roles start with anything by August Wilson. Mr. Robinson has played Solly Two Kings in Gem of the Ocean, Wining Boy and Doaker in The Piano Lesson, Shealy and Doub in Jitney, and Troy Maxson in Fences. Other favorites are Joseph Asagai in A Raisin in the Sun, Hoke Coleburn in Driving Miss Daisy, Sam Semela in Master Harold…and the Boys, Hercule Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express, and Black in The Sunset Limited.
Favorite musical roles include Willy Wonka, King Triton, Mufasa, Horse in The Full Monty, and Mister in The Color Purple presented by Nashville REP last year.
Mr. Robinson is tremendously honored to be a part of this production. With a role similar to his participation in 2023’s The Jonah People, by Hannibal Lokumbe, at the Schermerhorn Center, he finds joy helping to narrate the epic story of his beautiful, resilient people, the journeys of his own family, and so many others who began their existence in this land in chains. Now, sit back and be MOVED!
