Roshaunda Ross-Orta

Roshaunda Ross-Orta is excited to return to the stage after a five-year hiatus. She was last seen performing ‘My Angry Vagina’ in The Vagina Monologues at Governors State University in 2017. Although Ross-Orta’s performance experiences range from being a choral vocalist to screen actor to commercial voiceover artist, her first love is acting on stage. She has performed in over 40 plays, and her favorite roles include Normal Jean (The Colored Museum) and Big Bad Wolf (Anne Sexton’s Transformations).

Ross-Orta currently serves as the Director of Student Transitions and Community Engagement at Vanderbilt University. She is grateful to Dr. Ames for this opportunity to be back on stage for this important piece of art. And she is extremely grateful for the love and support from her two Jorges.
